Learn how to share your media content from your phone with your friends, family or colleagues.


With Share online (network service), you can post your images, video clips, and sound clips from your device to compatible online sharing services, such as albums and blogs. You can also view and send comments to the posts in these services, and download content to your compatible Nokia device. For sharing your photos you can, for example, use the Ovi share and Flickr network services.


The supported content types and the availability of the Share online service may vary.


Note that you must have an existing user account with the online service. To subscribe to an online sharing service, go to the service provider’s website and check that your Nokia device is compatible with the service. Create an account as instructed on the web site. You will receive a user name and password to set up your device with the account.


Nokia’s services in the online sharing service are free of charge. Any data transferred over the network may incur charges from your service provider. Contact your service provider or the relevant third party for more information on the services and data transfer costs.


Activate and start sharing online

  1. Open Share online by selecting the Media key and Share online . Allow the application to go online.
  2. Choose the service you want to activate, and select Options > Activate.
  3. If you are prompted for an Internet access point, select one from the list.
  4. Sign in to your account as instructed on the service provider’s website.
  5. When you have successfully signed in, your device will automatically recognise your account, and your account is accessible directly from the Share online application.

    • You can, for example, upload your media and explore and comment on your friends’ posts by just opening the Share online application.


Create a post

  1. Open Share online by selecting the Media key and Share online .
  2. Choose the service, and select Options > New upload.
  3. Fill in the necessary fields, and select Insert media to add an image, audio or video to the post.

    • You can add a title, description, tags, location and adjust the level of privacy.
    • The fields may vary depending on the service you are using.


  4. Select Upload now .

Post files from Gallery

You can post your files from Gallery to an online sharing service.
  1. Select Media key > Images and video clips and the files you want to post.
  2. Select Options > Send > Upload and the desired account.
  3. Edit your post as required.
  4. Select Upload now .

Ovi share

Ovi share is the online service that enables sharing media content from your phone or computer. With Ovi share, you can share photos, videos, audio and other media from your PC, Mac or camera phone with one easy step. You can share your content with family, friends, clubs or the whole world - no sign up or membership is required for recipients to view the media you have shared with them.

Ovi share is pre-installed on your device. To use it, you need to have a connection to the Internet and you must create an account with the service. To access Ovi share, select Menu > Internet > Share online. From the service list, choose Ovi by Nokia.

When you open the application for the first time, the device asks you if you already have an Ovi by Nokia account. If you have an account, select Yes and sign in with your existing user ID and password. If you don’t already have an account, select No and follow the instructions on the screen to create a new account.
