Navigation on your Nokia is now free. To get the most out of your device, download the latest Ovi Maps version.

See what version of Ovi Maps application you currently have on your device. You can check the latest available Ovi Maps version from the Ovi Maps support page.

Step 1: Check your device software version
Before installing Ovi Maps, please check that you have the latest phone software version for your device. Enter *#0000# on your phone’s home screen. The version number should be 21.006 or greater. In case you already have this software version (or later), you should already have Maps 3.03 with free navigation pre-installed and there’s no need to update your firmware at this point, unless you wish to receive the latest Maps version for your device. Note that if you have installed any other versions of Maps prior to upgrading your phone software, you should uninstall them using the Application Manager on your phone. This will ensure that you can use Maps with free navigation (the location of the Application Manager can vary according to your device model. Please check your device manual for details).

Step 2: Ovi Maps update
To update Ovi Maps over-the-air, go to Menu > Applications > SW update on your phone. Or you can do the update with Nokia Ovi Suite on your PC.

Step 3: Check Ovi Maps data

Check that you have the maps data you need. In some cases you need to re-install maps data after Ovi Maps update.
