Set up your e-mail

Set up your e-mail

You can have up to ten different e-mail accounts set up on your E72. This means that you can set up both your business e-mail as well as your personal e-mail on the device. Use the Nokia e-mail wizard in your home screen to set up all your e-mail accounts.

Get started with the e-mail wizard
With the Nokia e-mail wizard, you can set up both your business e-mail account, such as Microsoft(R) Exchange account and Lotus Notes Email, and your internet e-mail account.

When setting up your business e-mail, you may be prompted for the name of the server associated with your e-mail address and some other details. Ask your company IT department for details.

  1. To start the wizard, go to the home screen, scroll to the e-mail wizard, and press the scroll key.
  2. Select your service provider from the list presented to you. You can choose from Mail for Exchange, your internet email account (POP/IMAP) or Lotus Notes Traveller account. Enter your e-mail address and password. If your service provider is not on the list, please select "Other".
  3. If the wizard is not able to configure your e-mail settings automatically, you need to select your e-mail account type and enter the related account settings. If you don’t have these settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

If your device contains any additional e-mail clients, those are offered to you when you start the e-mail wizard.

Get familiar with Nokia Messaging

The Nokia Messaging service automatically pushes e-mail from your existing e-mail address to your Nokia E72. You can read, respond to, and organise your e-mails on the go. The Nokia Messaging service works with a number of internet e-mail providers that are often used for personal e-mail, such as Google e-mail services. The Nokia Messaging service must be supported by your network and may not be available in all regions.

The Nokia Messaging service can run on your device even if you are running other e-mail applications simultaneously, such as Mail for Exchange.
