Adjust camera settings

Use flash in dim environment

Flash will give you more light to get bright pictures even the environment is dim.

Activate the camera by pressing the camera key:

  1. Select Flash mode in the active toolbar.
  2. Flash is set to Automatic by default, and it is used if the light level is not sufficient. You can also set it:
    • On - Flash is on with all the pictures you take
    • Red-eye - The light flashes before the picture is taken and reduces red-eye in portraits
    • Off

Zoom helps you to get closer

To zoom in or out in the picture, use the volume/zoom keys on your device when you use the main camera. In the secondary camera mode, the zoom keys are up and down keys. Note that zoom enlarges the part of the picture which you are zooming in on. Using zoom can lower the image quality.

Scene mode for different environments

A scene helps you to find the right colour and lighting settings for the current environment. It is set on Automatic by default, but you can change it by selecting in the active toolbar Scene modes and the desired scene.

Different scene modes are:

  • Auto
  • User defined
  • Portrait
  • Landscape
  • Sports
  • Night
  • Night portrait

Choose the mode in the Scene mode selection in the active toolbar and you will get a brief description of the mode.
